Reservoir levels have been slowly increasing throughout the day, and our recovery is progressing well.

All customers in Thanet remain in supply with no interruptions.

With no supply disruption and an improving situation, bottled water stations are not required. However, we still have one on standby which can be reopened at short notice.

As we head into the weekend, please do continue to help us by using water wisely. Top water-saving tips are on our website. Small changes can have a big impact.

Previous updates

The immediate water supply risk in Thanet has reduced, with our water supply sites continuing to produce water to help top up our reservoirs.

All customers remain in supply without interruptions.

There have been no interruptions to supply in Thanet today and all customers are receiving water as normal.

All customers in Thanet remain in supply, as normal, and our water sites are producing water. 

Our reservoir levels are lower than normal, so we still have precautionary measures in place to help us deal with potential challenges. 

More than 20 tankers are in the area to help top-up water levels and bottled water deliveries are continuing for customers on our Priority Services Register (PSR).

Bottled water stations 

Our two bottled water stations have not reopened today (Wednesday 27 May). Our stations were quiet with all customers in supply, however, both sites can be reopened at short notice, if needed. 

Please continue to check our website for the latest updates and to see whether we have opened any bottled water stations.

Over the bank holiday weekend, demand for water across our region shot up by 15%. To help us keep taps running, we're asking for your help to use water extra wisely.

With all customers in supply and our sites continuing to produce water, our two bottled water stations have now closed and will not reopen tomorrow. 

We can reopen these stations at short notice if needed, and we will let you know if this happens. 

We’re continuing to deliver bottled water to customers on our Priority Services Register (PSR). Deliveries will continue tomorrow (Wednesday 27 May).

All customers in Thanet are continuing to receive water, as normal. Our sites are running and this is helping to fill up our water network.

With all customers in supply, our two bottled water stations are quiet, and we will be closing them down at 6pm today (Tuesday 26 May). We can reopen these sites at short notice if needed, but if you would like to collect bottled water before 6pm, the stations are located at:

  • Manston Airfield, Manston Road, CT12 5BL

As a precaution, bottled water deliveries have continued throughout the day for those on Priority Services Register (PSR) and these deliveries will continue overnight.

Precautionary bottled water

We are working hard to protect our water network and keep taps flowing, but we continue to have precautionary measures in place with alternative bottled water available.

Bottled water deliveries continue to customers on our Priority Services Register (PSR) and we have reopened two bottled water stations this morning.

 Potential water disruption overnight  in CT9, CT10, CT11 and CT12 

We're continuing to manage issues at two water supply works in the Thanet area that has resulted in low pressure and intermittent supply.

While we're working hard to protect the network and support recovery, customers in postcode areas CT9, CT10, CT11 and CT12 may experience a temporary interruption to their water overnight and tomorrow morning. 

Bottled water stations now open
As a precaution, bottled water stations are now open at:

  • Tesco Superstore, Manston Road, Ramsgate, CT12 6NT (closing 11pm)
  • Manston airfield, Manston Road, CT12 5BL (closing midnight)

These will reopen tomorrow morning (Monday 25 May) at 8am if needed.

Customers on our Priority Services Register (PSR) remain our highest priority and bottled water is being delivered as a precaution.

We understand how disruptive this is and sincerely apologise for the inconvenience. Our teams are working as quickly as possible to restore normal service. This includes moving water around the network to keep supplies balanced and bringing in additional support such as tankers.

As a precaution, bottled water stations are now open at:

These will remain open until 11pm tonight and will reopen tomorrow morning if needed.
